Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a great game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not need to be concerned about any other, more experienced individuals winning their $$$$.
A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game pace, newcomers can take their time and plan while not needing to make frenzied choices.
It is also much simpler to gamble on for an extended time with just a tiny amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the house is given 7 cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
